CAT MAN BLUE
Cat Man Blue, a 2007 stallion owned by Annie Kate White, has had an exceptional career. Known as “Bear,” he earned over $302,000 in winnings and accumulated 230 youth points. Under the guidance of trainer Sean Flynn, he enjoyed a remarkable limited aged event career, highlighted by a 5/6-Year-Old Championship at the Summer Spectacular.
Sean and Ashley Flynn’s daughter, Maddie, was the first of many youth riders to pilot Bear. Together, they claimed titles such as the JR. Scholarship Championship and a Houston Championship. Additionally, Bear is a two-time World Finalist and consistently ranked among the top competitors in go-rounds.
HEVVY METAL
Hevvy Metal, a 2010 gelding owned by Jerry and Patti Gann, has made a lasting impact in the cutting horse world. Known as “Scrap Iron,” he has earned nearly $190,000 in winnings and accumulated 318 youth points. Widely recognized for his consistency and unwavering dedication, he was a true road warrior who loved his job.
Throughout his career, Scrap Iron was shown by many riders, but it is often said that he shared a special bond with Cody Gann. His impressive achievements include titles as a World Champion, a World Finals Champion, and a Scholarship Champion.
PEPTOTOODIE
Peptotoodie, a 2009 mare owned by Crown Ranch, had an outstanding career, earning $170,000 in winnings and 260 youth points. A five-time World Finalist and World Finals Champion, she also claimed championship titles at the Eastern Nationals and Houston.
Toodie played a key role in Charles Russell’s success, carrying him to the Junior Youth Rookie of the Year title. Known for her powerful stop and impressive scores, she made a lasting impression in the cutting arena.
PLAY PURR VIEW RG
Play Purr View RG, a 2012 mare owned by Mike Farris, has built an impressive career. She has amassed winnings of over $85,000 and a total of 497 youth points, further solidifying her legacy with her recent World Championship victory.
TJ is a five-time World Finalist, a three-time Eastern Nationals Finalist, and a three-time Scholarship Finalist. Her accomplishments also include titles as an NCHA Junior Youth Reserve World Champion, an AQHA Youth World Champion, and now, the newly crowned 2024 NYCHA Senior Youth World Championship.
SMART LITTLE CRANBAR
Smart Little Cranbar, a 2005 gelding owned by Bill and Tara Wilkins, had an exceptional career. Known as “Peanut,” he earned nearly $76,000 in winnings and accumulated 300 youth points.
A four-time NCHA Scholarship Finals qualifier, he consistently delivered top performances, placing in the top five each time. Peanut’s impressive accolades include titles as a Reserve World Champion, a World Finalist, and a Finals Champion. Renowned for his cow sense, he excelled even against tough cattle and had a knack for marking big scores when the stage was set.
DR CUZIN
Dr Cuzin was a dedicated competitor in the NCHA for many years, amassing total earnings of $182,142. First showcased in the NCHA Futurity in 2007, he was known for his ability to bring joy to his riders and carried a positive energy into the arena, whether ridden by a professional, non-pro, or amateur.
A standout in the youth division, Dr Cuzin played a pivotal role in helping young riders learn the art of cutting. He inspired the next generation to excel in the sport, accumulating an impressive 338 youth points throughout his career. His legacy lives on in the many riders he influenced along the way.
